IPFACE, Pune filed a Geographical Indication (GI) application for 'Devgad Alphonso Mango' in the name of 'Devgad Taluka Amba Utpadak Sahakari Sanstha Maryadit' in March 2012.

After filing GI application, the unit was benefited in a way that they can legally prevent other Mango variety producers from selling their products in the name of Devgad Alphonso mango, and thus can prevent consumer deception and protect their own interest.

'Devgad Taluka Amba Utpadak Sahakari Sanstha Maryadit' has also started exploring e-commerce to take Alphonso mangoes directly from its farms to customers. GI application was supported by scientific data from NCL, Pune.

IPFACE, Pune helped individual innovator Mr. Shivaji Supare to draft & file a patent application for his invention in turmeric processing.

IPFACE, Pune filed a Complete specification titled 'Efficient steam treatment unit for turmeric rhizomes & its use' in August 2012.

He has successfully licensed his technology to a manufacturer.

IPFACE, Pune helped individual innovator Dr. Vijay Panchanadikar in drafting and filing a patent application for his invention relating to a 'System for accurate guide wire positioning' in December 2011.

IPFACE, Pune also helped him in filing an International Patent application by PCT route.

IPFACE, Pune helped individual innovator Mr. Shrikant Kunden in filling provisional and complete specification for his invention relating to "Dual Energy Hour Meter With Intelligent Resonance Protocol System For Heavy Duty Equipment" in 2011- 2012.

The request for examination and Request for early publication was also filed by IPFACE, Pune for the above patent application in 2012.

Later on IPFACE, Pune helped Mr. Shrikant Kunden in filing amendments in his above complete specification entitled "Dual Energy Hour Meter With Intelligent Resonance Protocol System For Heavy Duty Equipment"

IPFACE, Pune also helped Mr. Shrikant Kunden in filling provisional and complete specification for his other invention relating to "Cellular laptop card" in 2012-13.

Other than patent applications, IPFACE, Pune also helped Mr. Shrikant Kunden in filling 2 Trademark applications for "ITPL" and "Indinnova"

Based on the patent application for "Dual energy hour meter", Mr. Shrikant Kunden won 2nd prize of "Young Indian Next Practices Award" in a national level competition of innovative products (India Innovation Initiative 2011), which was organized by Government of India (DST) and CII in 2011.

Also, the brand names ITPL and Indinnova protected through Trademark are helping him to promote his business.

IPFACE, Pune helped Mr. Vishwas Joshi, MD at Seagull BioSolutions in drafting and filling a provisional and PCT application for his invention "A simple two plasmid mammalian expression system for production of recombinant proteins and viruses" in 2011-12.

IPFACE, Pune also helped Mr. Vishwas Joshi to pursue his patent application further by national phase entry in India.

Based on his patent application, Dr. Vishwas Joshi received a grant for development of eSAME technology from Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Govt of India, under phase I of their Technopreneur Promotion Programme (TePP) in February 2012.

He also received financial support under the Biotehnology Ignition Grant initiative of the Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India.

Dr. Vishwas Joshi was also successful in getting financial support by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation under the 10th Grand Challenges Explorations program.

IPFACE, Pune helped Mr. Chaitanya Saxena, Chief Executive Officer, Shantani Proteome Analytics Pvt. Ltd. in drafting and filling a patent application for his invention relating to "A method for identification of targets of bioactive molecules" in March 2011.

IPFACE, Pune also helped Mr. Chaitanya Saxena in filling a trademark application for his company's logo.

Equity Investment: Based on the patent application, on 15^th March 2011 Shantani Proteome Analytics Pvt. Ltd. signed an agreement with Entrepreneurship Development Center(EDC) / Venture Center(VC) to receive undisclosed amount of seed-funds in equity sharing mode to advance its chemical proteomics technology for small-molecule target identification.

This was followed by DSIR Recognition to the company's in-house R &D unit on 7^th Sept 2011 On 20^th Dec 2011, Shantani Proteome Analytics Pvt. Ltd. was awarded SBIRI grant (phase-1) to evolve and apply its proprietary small-molecule target identification technology to identify novel target(s) of a small-molecule GLP-1 analogue to treat type-2-diabetes.

On 30^th March 2012, Shantani Proteome Analytics Pvt. Ltd., Drug Target Identification Technology was one among the top 30 winners selected at the "Innovator's Competition" for DST-Lockheed Martin India Innovation Growth Programme 2012.

On 18^th July 2012, India Innovation Fund (IIF) and Blume Ventures along with angel partners co-invested in Shantani Proteome Analytics Pvt. Ltd. to support its growth.

On 1^st Dec 2012, Shantani Proteome Analytics Pvt. Ltd. received second Small Business Innovation Research Initiative (SBIRI) Grant from Department of Biotechnology (DBT) to advance its proprietary small molecule target identification technology.

On 10^th Jan 2013, Shantani Proteome Analytics Pvt. Ltd., CEO, Mr. Chaitanya Saxena, was featured in the CSO series of Biospectrum Magazine (India's Leading Life-Science magazine).

IPFACE, Pune helped Bottom of Pyramid Energy and Environmental Innovations Pvt. Ltd. in structuring and drafting an MOU between Bottom of Pyramid Energy and Environmental Innovations Pvt. Ltd. AND Dhurjaty Electronics Consulting LLC., as the parties desire to form a Joint venture company (JV) - Jeevtronics Private Limited.

IPFACE, Pune also helped Bottom of Pyramid Energy and Environmental Innovations Pvt. in drafting an assignment agreement between Dr. Sreeram Dhurjaty, President at Dhurjaty Electronics Consulting, LLC, AND Jeevtronics Private Limited.

Jeevtronics Private Limited successfully raised funding under the Biotech Ignition Grant (BIG) Round 2.

IPFACE, Pune helped "Brainbees Solutions Pvt. Ltd." which operates online baby products store "Firstcry.com",in drafting the trademark forms and in filling 8 Trademark applications for their different brands including Firstcry.com itself.

The brand names protected through Trademark are helping him to promote his business.

Based on this, Brainbees Solutions Pvt. Ltd. successfully applied for 2^nd Investment round.
